Raytown South High School Track Athletes Place at State Meet

Athletes from Raytown South High recently represented the District at the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) State Track and Field meet in Jefferson City on May 26 and 27. 

Members of the girls team took home state champion titles. Ciara Corley won the state championship in the High Jump. The girls relay team of Brianna Garth, Tamia Thomas, Danielle McNeal, and Sunni Sellers won the state championship in the 4x200M.

In other girls events, Sunni Sellers placed second in the 100M, Briana Garth placed fourth in the 400M, Nia Lunn placed sixth in the 100M and eighth in the 200M, and Tamia Thomas placed seventh in the Long Jump. The girls relay team of Myka Shelton, Danielle McNeal, Tamia Thomas, and Sunni Sellers placed third place in the 4x100M. Overall, the girls team finished fourth.

In boys individual events, Vontrae Booker placed third in the 200M and 400M and fourth in the 100M.
